Ta da! One completed monogram. I really wish the pictures had come out better, because it really does look fantastic. The metallic silver thread on the blue brocade is perfect - and with the light blue and silver bamboo leaves it fits right in.I know - the brocade, monogram, and metallic thread are a bit much for a pencil pouch for school. But if you are going to put the time and effort into making something shouldn't it be great? And for my girl, this is great. She picked the fabric, the final monogram, the thread color - everything.
And as I think about it monogramming is really about personalizing something and this little project is definitely headed perfectly personalized.
